Dudey’s captured third and seventh place medals in Senior (Division I) Championships 2014

Michael Dudey, 20, and Thomas Dudey, 18, of Bellaire, TX and Houston’s Space City Fencing fencing club captured third and seventh place medals in Senior (Division I) Men’s Foil at the United States National Fencing Championships in Minneapolis on April 11, 2014.
As part of Thomas’s preparations for the National Championship, he participated in fencing clinic at Space City Fencing with Olympic gold medalist Andrea Baldini in late March.  Michael’s preparations included the Venice Foil Grand Prix and and NCAA Championship in Columbus, Ohio, where Michael earned All American honors and the defending champion Princeton team earned second place.
Thomas, a senior at Bellaire High School, was last year’s National Champion in Cadet Men’s Foil and winner of the Pisa Cadet Foil European Cup.  He also traveled to Porec, Croatia for the Cadet World Championships as a member of the US Team.  Thomas plans to attend Princeton University in Fall.
Michael, a sophomore at Princeton, was the 2013 and 2011 National Champion in Junior Men’s Foil and a member of the World Champion U.S. Junior Men’s Foil Team in 2012.  He was the Outstanding Performer and Outstanding Rookie at the Ivy League Round Robin Championship in 2013.
